If you want go to a beach to either be seen or to people watch, Kits Beach is where you want to be. Kits is located on Cornwall Ave at the north end of Yew St in the heart of the Kitsilano neighbourhood. This beach features a concession, public washrooms, outdoor salt-water swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, swimming raft, Boathouse Waterfront Restaurant. , and access to the Seawall.
Spanish Banks Beach
Divided up into 3 connecting sections – Spanish Banks’ greatest feature is its size. Located along Northwest Marine Dr west of Tolmie St – Spanish Banks offers free parking, BBQ’ing, public washrooms, volleyball courts, concession, access to the Seawall, picnic tables, and more.
The in between beach as we call it. You can find Jericho in the middle between Spanish Banks and Kits Beach at the west end of Point Grey Rd between Wallace St and Discovery St. The East side of Jericho caters to swimmers while the West side caters to sailboats, stand-up paddlers, and windsurfers.
Also known as First Beach, English Bay is easiest accessible through Downtown Vancouver. Located along Beach Avenue between Gildford Street and Bidwell Street, English Bay houses Cactus Club Café, kayak rentals and storage, swimming raft, volleyball courts, and much more. The Seawall runs along the east side of the beach.
Located at the junction of Stanley Park Dr and North Lagoon Dr. Second Beach is next to the Second Beach Pool which is an oceanside heated pool. A great beach for picnics and barbeques.
The quietest of all our favourite beaches in Vancouver. Third Beach is a great spot for quiet sun-bathing, picnics, and watching sunsets. Located at Ferguson Point in Stanley Park. Access via the Stanley Park and the Seawall. Shortcut: take a right at Second Beach, take your first left.
